Pinging as we all know allows you to send your site to search engine to be indexed. A certain site which has not been indexed by major search engine is useless and futile as it cannot be located or found when someone search for it except by direct views.

In the world of blogging, pinging is a helpful tool after you have created some blog post it is advisable to ping them to know search engines that you have updated your blog. In the case of a WordPress powered blogs there is a built in ping submitter for your blog. You can edit this one or add another services using the list that I have gathered for you.  You can find this on the "READING" section of your dashboard under SETTINGS.
